Lego has released a whole of sets in the Prince Of Persia wave for 2010 and set 7571 Quest Against Time is the second largest with 506 pieces. Based on the film released in May 2010 the set retails for and recreates the major performance moment in the film where the evil Nizam is about to release the sands of time. Heroes Dastan and Princess Tamina must battle straight through booby traps and numerous bad guys to reclaim the suited dagger of time.
The set includes four minifigures: Dastan, Princess Tamina, Nizam and Zolm, the Hassansin Leader (who fights by using snakes!) all of whom have spectacular, "Persian" detail on their torsos. The main part of the set is the cave/tunnel buildings that leads up to the sand of time lair. This tunnel is similar to the legendary cave in Raiders Of The Lost Ark where all manner of booby traps assail our heroes. At the end of the tunnel is a ceremonial area that includes a light up brick to highlight the power released by the dagger of time.

The set measures measures 13" (33cm) long, 7" (18cm) high and over 9" (23cm) wide and does a great job of packing as much performance and playability into the playset as possible. The playset can be broken into two pieces so the tunnel becomes detach from the cliff area at the back. The light up brick mechanism is pretty cool and looks great in the dark with all the golden yellow bricks in front. There are two education books so the build will take young builders a integrate of hours.
Overall it's a nice playable set that would sit well with the other more distinctive sets in the series, being a rather generic grey cave set on its own.
